2.4 million users’ live communication platform “TwitCasting” raises $0.64M from East Ventures and Angel investors

TOKYO JAPAN, May 21, 2013 – Moi Corporation, which provides live streaming communication service in Japan, announced today that it has raised $0.64M as the company’s first round of funding.

TwitCasting is a service to let you stream live video and tweets from your mobile devices. It has more than 2.4 million users, 80% from Japan, 10% from Brazil and 10% from other countries.

“TwitCasting is seeing the ‘hockey stick’ growth since last summer, and we were behind the speed of the growth in terms of human resources and the system infrastructure,” said Yosuke Akamatsu, CEO of Moi Corporation. “This funding will enable us to rapidly deliver the good communication platform and acquire the core team members.”

In addition, the company announced that Taiga Matsuyama, Partner of East Ventures, have taken board of director seats.
